Windows XP comes with a simplified version of Terminal Server which will allow us to access your system through the internet. To make it work, you have to give us access. This document will walk you step-by-step through that process.

WHEN WOULD YOU USE THIS?

When you are having minor issues with your computer
When you need help understanding something on your computer.
When a Big Blue Water service technician requests remote access to your system.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Contact us to request assistance. Explain the issue that you are having, or the help that you would like to have. We will assign a technician to your request. If that person is not available, he/she will call you back to get more information about your issue and request a password to access your system.
HOW TO CONTACT US:

By Phone: (269) 561-5517
Visit Our Forums
STEP-BY-STEP

Choose START – HELP & SUPPORT
Choose “Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote Assistance”

In the REMOTE ASSISTANCE pane (on the right), Choose INVITE SOMEONE TO HELP YOU.

In the 2nd dialogue box of the REMOTE ASSISTANCE pane, type in help (at) bigbluewater.com (substitute (at) with @).

Click “Invite this person”

Compose your message

Click the CONTINUE button.

Set the time for the invitation to expire (the default of 1 hour is fine)

Check the box to “Require the recipient to use a password”

Enter the required password in the ‘type password’ field, and re-type it in the ‘confirm password’ field.

Click SEND INVITATION

That’s it – you’re finished.

If you would like to view the status of your request, click on VIEW INVITATION STATUS

Note : You must be using an email program located on your computer for this to work. If you use an email service that you use exclusively through a web browser, remote assistance will NOT function. It cannot create an email invitation to send through webmail.
