Administrative Clerk

The Administrative Clerk is our front-line sales person and serves as the ‘nucleus’ of our service department.  Must have knowledge of computer systems usage, parts, and general repair.  May lead to technical position with growth of the company for the right person.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers telephones maintaining a log of all calls and routing calls appropriately
  • Manages in-store sales and inventory
  • Negotiate with vendors, purchase supplies, and manage stock
  • Quotes and orders parts for the service department
  • Conduct Research using the internet
  • Communicates with technical staff, customers, and senior management reqarding computer issues
  • Manages Service Database ensuring that technicians have reported all time and materials used
  • Provide training and orientation for new staff
  • Takes orders for service, shipping, and office supply products
  • Operates a variety of office equipment including copier, fax, scanner, telephone, and computer systems (both Windows and Mac)
  • Office cleaning, organization, and general upkeep
  • Additional Responsibilities may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • Professional presentation required at all times
  • Pleasing telephone personality
  • Meticulous Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar
  • Above average office skills
  • Experienced with MS-Office products
  • Above average technical skills (Must know a motherboard from a fatherboard)

This is a part-time morning position beginning September 1st 2008 at our Saugatuck office.
