Systems Administrator
Responsible for maintaining network efficiency, the System Administrator manages the systems (servers, workstations, peripherals, and local-area network) of several of our business clients ensuring that things run smoothly day-to-day.
Essential Responsibilities
- Complete documentation of the customer’s network including changes as they occur
- Continually surveys the current site to determine and recommend future needs
- Software/Hardware installation, maintenance, and upgrading
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve all issues
- Routine network administration and maintenance
- Document systems and plan for recovery in the event of disaster
- Plan, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules
- Setup and monitor backups
- Add/Delete users
- Maintain system security
- Train and assist customer with efficient use of their systems
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server products and networking
Preferred
- Experience with Unix a plus
- MCSE
Location / Status
- This is a field service position that will eventually work in the area between Holland and Grand Rapids, with occasional work in the Saugatuck/Douglas area
