A new tech support phone scam is making the rounds. People are receiving phonecalls at their home or business from a person under the guise of being a Microsoft employee. Microsoft has issued a statement clearly stating that while they do offer tech support via various channels the client must initiate the assistance and Microsoft will never contact users randomly.
So, word of warning, if you are contacted by "Microsoft tech support" be on guard. Do not allow them to convince you of their supposed legitimacy - it's a scam.
